AN OUTFIT POST IN HONOR OF THE DAY THAT AT LEAST STARTED OUT LIKE FALL

11.10.2016

^^ Tee: Target, maternity; Sweater: TJ Maxx; Jeans: H&M Maternity; Shoes: Nike ^^

I'm not sure when the last time I did an outfit post was, or the last time I complained about seasonally inappropriate weather. So, it only seems fitting that they should make their big return together! Above is the absolutely perfect (for me) fall outfit I wore this morning that within about an hour became overkill :( Damned if I didn't still wear it all day though! Add in a little LightRoom filter and ignore all the green and you can almost pretend Texas knows it's November. Also, this sweater? Softest, coziest sweater I've ever laid my hands on. Ever. Thank you TJ Maxx. I'm going to be really pissed if this is the only time I get to pull it out during actual fall (by actual fall I mean September-Thanksgiving Day, because day after Thanksgiving we officially move into Christmastime, a season all its own-- can I get an amen Katie?? And obviously mustard yellow is not nearly as well suited to Christmastime as it is to "actual fall").

Also, can we all just agree that it's time to move past the election madness? I'm no more stoked about Trump than the next not-Trump supporter, but that ship has sailed and it's high time that we move on to more important things. Namely, the fact that Gilmore Girls - A Year in the Life will be making its big debut in just 2 weeks and a few hours. Clearly there are a lot of Americans with their priorities all kinds of off :)

Oh, and one more thing since we are in the month of Thanksgiving (hear that Texas? The month of Thanksgiving!?!?), something I'm thankful for... Skipping past the obvious like my angel of a daughter Adelaide (who has just supplied me with the less ideal evenings we've had lately, love you anyway you little stinker :) and onto something else obvious, but I'm going to get specific, so it counts... the hubs. That guy has been working, working, working for weeks, heck months. He hardly ever gets a break from running his company and when he does, lately he's been spending it on schoolwork. I'm so proud of him and his ability to manage all of these things with only the occasional grumpiness, which is more than warranted, though I do have to remind myself of that from time to time. He does so much to take care of Adelaide and me (and the little mister that's cookin away), and I am so thankful for that.
