You all know good and well just exactly how I feel about Fall. It is, without a doubt, my absolute most favorite time of year. Nothing can hold a candle to the crisp air (if it'll ever get here :/ ), pumpkin spice everything, the holidays, the pumpkins, the sweaters... you get my drift.
But, can we all just agree that the way Texas treats Fall, like it's an afterthought, something to be squeezed in real quick like between the miserable 100 degree days of Summer and sudden cold snap that quickly ushers in Winter, kinda, well, sucks. Sorry, but yeah. That's exactly it. It sucks. Oh, the life of an Autumn lover in Texas. Woe is me.
So anyway, Fall decorating is something I get into every year. Around here, you need the fall decorations around, lest you forget it even is fall for the first month, month and a half of it. I feel like Fall porch and mantle inspiration is something I look for every year, but I typically can't re-create most of what I see, because I'm not going to run out and buy throw blankets and wagons and ladders and every other cute thing everyone else apparently just has lying around to decorate with. So, this is what I came up with this year. It may not look like something out of Country Living, but it also didn't cost as much as something out of Country Living. I'll score that a win.
