IF YOU WANNA KNOW THE TRUTH...

Now that I have my sweet and happy Adelaide back, I think I can say with confidence that she was indeed in some sort of crazy phase that has finally and gratefully passed. Three weeks. That's how long she was totally out of sorts and a grumpy mess for the majority of most days. About 2 1/2 weeks in I came to the conclusion that it was being home and being with me all the time that was the problem, and that we clearly needed a break from one another. The full-time stay-at-home thing just wasn't in anyone's best interest anymore. I applied for a couple of part-time jobs and scheduled a tour at a Montessori school. Luckily, by the time the school tour came around, Adelaide was also coming around, and when I didn't get the warm and fuzzies I was hoping for with the school (though there is absolutely nothing wrong with it I'm sure) I started seeing how hastey I was being with the whole thing.

I realize now that there are a couple things that have made the last month or so especially difficult for me. Not only was Adelaide in that impossible phase, but Jordan's been working 6-7 days a week, 10-11 hours a day many days, and winter has kept up cooped up inside more than we can stand (it's currently thundering). Everything hits at once

I am happy to report that things have been getting progressively better over the last 3 days, and I've got a plan in the works that will hopefully get me the break I need every once in a while and give Adelaide a break from me too.... exercise anyone?
