This is actually what I wore on Halloween (anyone notice?). Today Adelaide and I will be dressed in our "cozys" as I like to call them, because I've got a sick baby on my hands. I think she probably has the same virus her cousin is trying to kick... guess they were trading more than candy on Halloween! But, if you've gotta be sick, there's really no better day than today, when it's dreary outside, rain blowing in and cool autumn air following closely behind.
It's days like today when I am reminded yet again how grateful I am to be home with her. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else than right here to cuddle my sweet baby girl when she's not feeling well. Those cuddles are becoming more and more rare each day, so I am incredibly happy to be here to enjoy every last second of it. There is something so overpowering when you realize that you are their ultimate source of comfort. I am to her, what my mom was to me. Still is, really. I don't think that will ever go away. That's pretty powerful... to me at least. It's also scary. Gets me to thinking just how much that little girl really means to me and how very precious every moment is.
Just finishing If I Stay probably contributes to this very emotional state I am in too... gotta say something to lighten the mood!
